More Horror Photography

This bunch of photos were taken on the remains of the Ski Village, which looks like something straight out of Chernobyl, and I don't mean that as a joke either. The place is both awesome and at some points pretty terror inducing.

My First Skating Photos

These were my first three photos of the day, obviously they look like crap - The colours are dry and off and to be honest I am terribly ashamed of myself because these were terrible. My friend also said he wanted them in colour, so I could not dip into black and white to save the photos from being bad.

This is where I was starting to get better, you can see progression in the colours, I also started mastering manual focus too, and even though he did not get that high off the ground, I am still proud that I was manage to capture it.

Arguably my best photo I took that day, really please with what I did with the colours too - the blacks are off-purple and the contrast is super tight. I took it at f2.8 which is a stop that I really want to explore.

This is where I started mastering manual focus and fast shutter speeds, on these I was working around 1/1000th of a second, which made the pictures have a really dank dynamic range - but I could fix that in post as I was using RAW.
